The Applebaum family asked us to create a family crest for them with 5 elements that are important to them: the supernova, the tree, the beaver, the bowman, and they chose a motto.
What do these elements mean?
Supernova: A brilliant exploding star, symbolizing cosmic energy and growth.
Tree: Representing strength, roots, and family heritage.
Beaver: A hardworking and industrious animal, signifying diligence and resourcefulness.
Bowman: An archer, symbolizing protection and readiness.
How did we think? Let’s combine these elements into a beautiful crest:
Background: Start with a circular shape to form the base of the crest.
Supernova: Place a radiant starburst in the center, surrounded by smaller stars.
Tree: Position a sturdy oak tree on one side of the circle, its roots extending into the ground.
Beaver: Add a beaver standing near the tree, holding a small branch or twig.
Bowman: Place an archer on the other side of the circle, drawing a bow and arrow.
Banner: Below the circle, include a banner with the family motto: “Strength in Unity.”
For the colors, we considered using earth tones (browns, greens) for the tree and beaver, and vibrant gold or silver for the supernova. The background can be a deep blue or black.
